The 630 kVA epoxy resin cast delta star dry type transformer was delivered to South Africa in 2022.
The rated power of the dry type step down transformer is 630 kVA with AN/AF cooling, the primary voltage is 6.6 kV with ±2*2.5% tapping range (NLTC), the secondary voltage is 0.55kV, they formed a vector group of Dyn11.
Cast resin technology provides excellent insulation and environmental protection, this together with the foil winding technology inside the resin offers the ultimate dry type transformer in terms of dielectric performance and short circuit withstand ability and ensures long term reliability for both distribution and special applications. cast resin transformers can be supplied with either aluminum or copper windings together with possibility of class F or class H insulation system, they can be designed to in-door or out-door installation with different enclosures.

The epoxy resin dry type transformer has the characteristics of good electrical performance, strong lightning impact resistance, strong short-circuit resistance, small size, and light weight. The temperature display controller can be installed to display and control the operating temperature of the transformer windings to ensure the normal service life of the transformer.

Why Insulation resistance of dry type transformer decreased:
1.Reason analysis. Pouring type dry transformer winding is mostly made of resin pouring, conductor material is sealed in it, so the decrease of insulation resistance is mostly caused by moisture condensation on the surface of winding, dust accumulation or part of insulation material being affected by moisture.
2.Processing method: Clean winding surface, surface moisture condensation with dry cloth wipe, natural air can be restored. It can be dried by heater and ventilated by fan. The neutral line (zero row) of the three-phase connection of dry-type transformer can be disconnected. The megohm meter is used to determine which phase the problem is in, and then the problem is carefully searched and processed.
